MAGNOLIA is the first team to arrive at the Clark bubble with hopes that the Hotshots would also be the last to leave it once the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup ends.
The Hotshots arrived at the Quest Hotel inside the Clark Freeport Zone via bus on Tuesday exactly 13 days before the planned resumption of the season that was postponed due to COVID-19.
Photos posted by the PBA’s social media pages showed that the Hotshots equipment underwent disinfection and players filled signing-in sheets before being allowed to enter their hotel rooms.
The Hotshots are definitely eyeing the top prize in the Philippine Cup after disappointing setbacks the past two editions of the conference.Magnolia was Philippine Cup runner-up twice against San Miguel, including a heartbreaker last year when Magnolia lost a 3-2 series lead with a 72-71 Game Seven defeat.
The Hotshots, however, were off to a slow start in this year’s Philippine Cup as they bowed to the Beermen, 94-78, last March 8 before the PBA suspended the conference due to the pandemic.
