THE Purefoods franchise has undergone another facelift that it hopes would lead to reliving lost glory in the PBA.

Star has rebranded to Magnolia Hotshots and franchise hopes to gain immediate success.

When the team changed its name to B-Meg Llamados, they won the 2012 Commissioner’s Cup, and the change to San Mig Super Coffee led to a grand slam in the 2014 season.

“Challenge ‘to for the team, kasi every time na nagpapalit ng name, nagcha-champion,” Purefoods legend and current team manager Alvin Patrimonio said in the press launch on Monday. “It’s an exciting season again with a new logo and a new team name.”

Hotshots coach Chito Victolero is accepting the challenge, eager to lead the team in getting over the hump after falling short of the finals in all three conferences last season.

“Prinessure mo naman kami agad, boss Kap,” Victolero said with a smile. “It’s a new challenge, hindi lang sa akin but sa staff and the players. Tinatanggap namin yung challenge na ‘to, and we’re working hard. Para ma-improve ang team natin.”
