PAUL Lee scattered fours in a crucial run in the fourth quarter, and Magnolia regained its winning ways by putting away NorthPort, 106-97, on Saturday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Candon City Arena.
The Hotshots improved their record to 7-1, and reclaim solo first place in the team standings, atoning for their first loss of the conference against Rain or Shine last week.
Lee knocked down a four to break an 85-85 deadlock, and extended Magnolia's lead to 95-88 on another basket from beyond the outer rainbow.
NorthPort still fell to its sixth straight loss to go down to 1-6 despite leading by as many as 10 points.
