FOR the fourth time in just about a month, Magnolia is parading a new import in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Hotshots are bringing in Jabari Bird in time for Game 2 of their best-of-five quarterfinals series against top seed Rain or Shine on Friday at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Laguna.

The 30-year-old Bird was a second round pick of the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA Draft and played two years with the franchise.
He takes over for Rayvonte Rice, who struggled in the two games he played for Magnolia, including a 109-105 loss to the Elasto Painters in Game 1 of the quarterfinals.

Bird, who is set to be measured at the PBA office hours before Game 2, will be the Hotshots' fourth import this conference following Rice, Shabazz Muhammad, and Glenn Robinson III.
Rice lost in the two games he suited up for the Hotshots after taking over the spot vacated by the injured Muhammad, who exited with a swollen knee.
Muhammad, who previously played for San Miguel two years ago, replaced Robinson III, who was the original choice of the team as import.
