MAGNOLIA welcomed another big man in its fold.
Clifford Jopia officially joined the Hotshots on Tuesday after signing a one year contract with the Purefoods franchise.
No less than the best big man in Purefoods franchise history in team manager Alvin Patrimonio welcomed the 6-foot-8 Jopia in the organization.
Jopia was represented by Danny Espiritu.
The center out of San Beda was released by Blackwater as a free agent and will join a stacked Magnolia frontcourt that already has the likes of Zavier Lucero, Ian Sangalang, and rookie Yutien Andrada.
The 28-year-old Jopia was a third round pick (no, 26) of the Bossing in the Season 48 draft.
He played his first three seasons with the franchise owned by Dioceldo Sy, but averaged just 1.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in the just concluded PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Eventually, he was one of four players let go by Blackwater before the season-ending Governors Cup along with Paul Zamar, Ichie Altamirano, and Bradwyn Guinto.
