MACAU played with only nine players against NLEX on Wednesday during the restart of the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Only import Oscar Lopez and Kobey Lam were the notable names remaining in the roster of the PBA guest team during their game against the Road Warriors.

Macau had already played with a depleted roster before, even when it was the Black Knights in the Commissioner’s Cup. For this game, however, the Giant Pandas were without all of their main gunners in the first part of the conference.
Macau is reeling from the absence of its locals Damian Chongqui, Jenning Leung, and Ramon Cao, who have signed with different teams in the EASL while the Governors’ Cup was on a break.

Import DeVondre Perry has also been replaced by Lopez, likely for the rest of the season.
Even head coach Marcus Elliot was not around as his assistant, former Terrafirma head coach Raymond Tiongco, took the cudgels for the Giant Pandas.
Macau entered the game with a 2-6 win-loss record, at sixth place in Group A.
