MACAU lost leading scorer Damian Chongqui late in the first half onwards following a disqualifying foul in the Giant Panda’s PBA Governors’ Cup loss to Converge on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The shifty, 27-year-old guard was sent to the showers midway through the second quarter for throwing the ball at referee Albert Nubla after missing a layup at the 5:24 mark and the Giant Pandas trailing, 45-51.

Justin Arana sank the technical foul before Kobe Lam came in to replace his ejected teammate.
Chongqui will be summoned at the PBA Commissioner’s Office on Tuesday.
Chongqui averaged 19.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in leading the Giant Pandas in their maiden conference during the Commissioner’s Cup.
He finished the game against Converge with six points on 2-of-7 shooting while adding three assists.
The Giant Pandas however, suffered their third straight loss, 149-124.
