MAC Cardona has been discharged from Makati Medical Center on Thursday afternoon as his recovery from drug overdose continued.
The NLEX reserve shooting guard had been confined at the Manny V. Pangilinan group-run hospital for a little over a week after he overdosed on pills in what his sister said was an apparent suicide attempt.
“We are closely coordinating with his doctor on the next steps for his full recovery,” NLEX team manager Ronald Dulatre said in a statement sent to media outlets on Friday. “We will fully support him during this stage.”
“Thank you for your prayers and support to Macmac,” he added.
