LOUIE Alas and Caloy Garcia are in line to coach in the PBA All-Star Game if their teams continue their fine showing in the PBA Philippine Cup.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the coaches of the top two teams after the games on March 10 will handle the squads in the PBA All-Star Game set 31 in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
There will be a tiebreaker if teams end up in a deadlock after March 10.
The first placer will coach the North All-Stars, while the second placer will mentor the South All-Stars.
So far, Alas and Garcia are strong candidates to become coaches in the All-Star Game.
Alas led Phoenix Pulse to victories in the first five games of the eliminations in the franchise’s best start in history - a run which ended at the hands of Garcia's ROS side in a 98-94 overtime victory on Sunday.
Rain or Shine now leads the league with a 6-1 card.
