LONG queues of fans who braved the heat and a sudden downpour have formed outside the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday for tickets that have proven scarce ahead of Game One of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals between crowd favorite Barangay Ginebra and Alaska Milk.
Hundreds of fans started lining up infront of ticket booths as early as 11 a.m. and the queues have only gotten longer three hours before gametime, even though most of the Game One tickets for the ringside, lower bow, upper box, and general admission seats are no longer available.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
“Kanina pa nga po kami ritong 12 noon dito, akala namin maaga na yun. Pero nagulat kami mahaba na ang pila,” said PBA fan Momon Sorillano.
“Talagang tiisan na lang po. Diehard fan kasi kami ng PBA."
So in demand were the tickets that the long queues have not disappeared, even with the announcement that only a few non-reserved general admission seats and Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets at Upperbox A and B are the only ones available.
Three hours before gametime, a huge crowd has also formed infront of the green and red gates of the Big Dome. The gates won't be opened until 5:30 p.m., coliseum personnel said.
