AT the age of 69, Nanay Sionny Abueva no longer wishes for anything much this Yuletide season.
All she ever prays for is good health, so she can continue to watch her grandson, Calvin Abueva, soar to new heights in the PBA with the Alaska Aces.
"'Yun lang ang gusto ko, maging malakas ako," said Nanay Sionny, who helped raised a young Calvin back in Balibago, Angeles City.
Despite having a little difficulty walking, Nanay Sionny watches as many Alaska games as she can, sometimes making the journey from Pampanga to Manila and back.
Nanay Sionny admitted she feels sad if she's not at the venue.
"Pag nanonood lang ako sa TV, malungkot," she said.
If the doting grandmother can have one wish, it is to see Calvin win an MVP award, or perhaps another championship for Alaska.
