LA Tenorio's move to Magnolia excited a lot of fans, especially with him being listed as a playing-coach.

Though the 41-year-old stressed that his main focus is now on the sidelines, he's not ruling out the possibility of donning that familiar no. 5 once again.

And if he does, Tenorio has the chance to accomplish a feat that not many have achieved: to play for all three teams under the San Miguel Corporation umbrella.

Remember, Tenorio was drafted fourth overall in the 2006 PBA Draft by San Miguel but only spent a year and a half there before being traded to Alaska.

In 2012, he returned back to SMC, this time for Ginebra where he spent his final 12 seasons.

"Dito ako nagsimula, dito rin ako matatapos," he said with a chuckle after being told of the possibility.

So far, only 10 players have achieved the feat.

Pido Jarencio was the first to do that, starting off with Magnolia Cheese (San Miguel) in 1986 when he was elevated from the Northern Cement national team and briefly suiting up for Purefoods in 1989 before carving a niche in Ginebra from 1992 to 1998.

Rodney Brondial, meanwhile, is latest to play for all three franchises as he was picked by Ginebra as the sixth overall pick in the 2014 PBA Draft, moved to Star from 2016 to 2019, and finally got to San Miguel in 2022.

Other players to complete the SMC loop are Rommel Adducul, Paul Artadi, Yancy de Ocampo, Chico Lanete, Rico Maierhofer, Billy Mamaril, Yousef Taha, and Enrico Villanueva.

Meanwhile, there are other four players who got a chance to play for three SMC teams when it still had four franchises in the PBA.

These were Freddie Abuda (Coney Island/Purefoods, San Miguel, Coca-Cola), Rodney Santos (Purefoods, Ginebra, Coca-Cola), Celino Cruz (Purefoods, Ginebra, Powerade), and Rafi Reavis (Coca-Cola, Ginebra, Purefoods).

But of all, the late Cris Bolado stands out as he got to play for all four SMC franchises in his time in the league.

He was traded to Purefoods in 1997 and only spent a conference there before being shipped to Gordon's Gin in the same season. The 6-foot-7 center also landed in San Miguel in 1999, and eventually spent his last two seasons with Coca-Cola.

Bolado won a total of five championships under the SMC umbrella from the 11 rings he got in his nine-year career.
