MOST PBA players get cheers, a pat on the back, and a won-game bonus after a big game.
Romeo Travis gets a shoutout from LeBron James.
The Magnolia import was congratulated by the NBA superstar on Twitter on Wednesday night after collecting 32 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in the Hotshots' 113-95 win over Columbian.
“Way to work my brother!!!,” the Los Angeles Lakers star wrote a few hours after Magnolia’s victory by retweeting a post by ESPN5.
James even added the hashtags #Midrange Rome and #Lucky Lefty in the tweet to his 45.5 million followers.
The tweet, of course, is no longer a surprise since Travis happens to be one of the closest friend of James, the two going way back to high school at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio where they were teammates in the team that won the 2003 national championship.
In 2016, Travis even celebrated James’ championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, later posing for a photo with the Larry O’Brien trophy after his good friend beat the Golden State Warriors in seven tough games.
