MERALCO beat Alaska, 87-80, Tuesday in a tune-up game held at the Gatorade Hoops Dome as import Gani Lawal had another impressive outing, finishing with 31 points.
The 6-foot-9 Lawal, picked 46th in the 2010 NBA Rookie Draft by the Phoenix Suns, scored on a slam, 85-77, with 1:16 left in the fourth to seal the Bolts' second win in as many tune-up gamers.
Lawal had 36 in Meralco's win over TNT last week.
The Bolts played without newly acquired Raymond Almazan, who didn’t show up as the trade from Rain or Shine has yet to be approved by the PBA when the tune-up game was going on.
