FOLLOWING the issue with its coach, College of St. Benilde will have to deal with its star player next.
Carlo Lastimosa appeared to be at a crossroads, undecided on whether to return for another tour of duty for the Blazers in the 89th NCAA season.
“Wala pa, di ko pa alam,” said Lastimosa when asked by Spin.ph on Monday. “Di ko pa alam kung maglalaro ako next season.”
Just two days ago, the high-scoring nephew of former PBA superstar Jojo Lastimosa tweeted on his account @carlastimosa that he’ll no longer be playing for the Taft-based Blazers.
Asked by one of his followers if he will stay with St. Benilde, he tweeted back, “Hindi na.”
The uncertainty regarding Lastimosa’s return came a week after Richard del Rosario submitted his resignation as St. Benilde coach. School officials, however, have yet to act on the matter.
Lastimosa, the NCAA 2010 Rookie of the Year, has two more playing seasons with the Blazers.
“Hindi pa ako pwedeng magsalita ngayon. Basta wala pa ako decision,” he said.
The Blazers finished the last NCAA season in ninth place with a 5-13 (win-loss) record.
