MARCIO Lassiter would rather have the win than his best PBA output in the last six years.
"I wish we won. It felt good. But it really didn't feel good. We lost," said the veteran San Miguel gunner after the Beermen bowed to unbeaten Rain or Shine, 116-112, in the PBA Season 50 Commissioner's Cup Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

“I’m always about team, about winning, and if i could contribute to a winning effort, it’s always good.”

Lassiter reminded everybody why he's the league's all-time record-holder for most number of threes made after exploding for a game-high 27 points on 7-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc.
He had 17 big points in the fourth quarter, playing a major part in SMB's huge comeback from 25 points down that just fell short in the endgame.

Nonetheless, it was Lassiter's highest output in the last six seasons - or since scoring 29 points in a San Miguel win over Blackwater during the 2019 Commissioner's Cup.
"Interesting," was all Lassiter could say when told about his scoring feat.
"I know the results usually show when we win games, and that really means a lot to me. If we won, it would have meant a lot."
The Beermen saw their two-game win streak snapped to drop to an even 3-3 record going to their face-off with Magnolia on Sunday.
