IF imports would be added in the next edition of the "Return of the Rivals," Lamont Strothers is putting his name in the hat this early.
The former San Miguel import has expressed his interest to play in a legends game with former teammates if such event will once again be held next year.
Strothers made his intention known in a tweet on Monday after San Miguel won over Alaska in an old-timers game dubbed as the ‘Return of the Rivals’ on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
“I’m playing next year! It would be great to be on the floor with those guys again! You’ll never know, it may just happen,” wrote the 50-year-old Strothers.

Strothers, a product of Christopher Newport, was one of the most memorable imports to have donned the San Miguel jersey, having played from 1997 to 2002. Strothers won a PBA Best Import award in the 1999 Governors’ Cup.
Led by Allan Caidic, San Miguel defeated Alaska, 96-83, in the ‘Return of the Rivals’, an event for the benefit of less fortunate former PBA players. Officials of the organizer PBA Legends Foundation Inc. have expressed its intention to hold similar projects.
