IS it the end of the road as far as LA Tenorio’s PBA career is concerned?
The Barangay Ginebra team captain mentioned in passing the uncertainty facing him following the Gin Kings’ exit in the Philippine Cup semifinals.
The veteran guard, who turned 41 on the day Game 7 against San Miguel was played, said he’s not sure about his future heading into the offseason.
The league’s ‘Iron Man’ briefly touched on the matter after their 100-93 loss to the Beermen at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, which denied the most popular ballclub in the country a third straight finals stint.

“Honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen to me for the next few weeks, next few months. So we’ll see,” he said. “Hindi ko pa alam yung plano ko. I don’t know.”
Asked by SPIN.ph if he was hinting at retirement, the eight-time champion and four-time Finals MVP played coy.
“We’ll see. You will hear it from me definitely in the next few weeks,” Tenorio added.
Realizing the weight of Ginebra’s season coming to an end, the former Ateneo star admitted feeling blue should this have been the final game of his pro career.
“Nakakalungkot lang (if) this is really my last game,” said Tenorio.
LA's Game 6 to remember
But he did mention his Game 6 heroics to be unforgettable after highlighting it with the three-point game-winner that paved the way for the sudden-death match in the semifinals series.
Tenorio scored all of his 11 points in the final seven minutes of the game which the Gin Kings won by the skin of their teeth, 88-87.
“I think memorable this season is really my last game - Game 6, kasi dun lang ako naglaro e, the whole season,” joked the Ginebra guard.
For the record, Tenorio actually played four games in the semis, though it was in the Game 6 victory where he really had his time under the sun.
In Game 7, he only played two minutes and 28 seconds with no recorded statistics other than a personal foul.
No wonder, he felt down - if ever this would have been his final game.
