LA Tenorio makes a much-awaited PBA comeback on Sunday when Barangay Ginebra tries to stretch its winning run in the Season 48 Commissioner's Cup.
The defending champions are expected to roll out the red carpet for their beloved team captain as they battle the Terrafirma Dyip in the 6:15 p.m. game at the Philsports Arena.
Tenorio's first game in 10 months
It will be the first game back for the 39-year-old Tenorio in 10 months since being diagnosed of colon cancer last February.
He has since been declared cancer-free after undergoing a six-month treatment in Singapore.
Tenorio deepens Ginebra roster
Tenorio's return deepens an already stacked Ginebra side that has won its last two games and holds a 3-1 record for third place in a tie with idle San Miguel.
Terrafirma though, is out to spoil Tenorio's return party as it seeks to end a two-game slide.
After a fast start to the season, the Dyip lost consecutively to TNT and Phoenix to fall in a three-way tie for the seventh to ninth places with TNT and NLEX on 2-3 records.
