PINTSIZED point guard LA Revilla will undergo surgery to repair the broken nose he suffered during Mahindra’s practice game on Monday.
Revilla is currently confined in the hospital and is scheduled to be operated on by Thursday.
The 26-year-old Revilla was accidentally elbowed by big man Jason Ballesteros while the Enforcers were scrimmaging at their training facility inside the Azure Urban Resort and Residences.
“Nabagsakan ng siko kaya bali ang ilong,” said Revilla’s representative Danny Espiritu.
Revilla's relegation in the Mahindra injury list eventually paved the way for the activation of playing-coach Manny Pacquiao in time for the team’s PBA Governors Cup game against Alaska on Wednesday. The Enforcers are currently on top of the standings tied with TNT Katropa at 3-0.
Revilla though asked to check out temporarily at the hospital as he’ll be attending to an important family matter also on Wednesday. But he’ll return immediately the following day for his scheduled surgery.
Espiritu couldn’t say how long the playmaker out of De La Salle will be sidelined. He’s also expected to wear a protective mask once he returns to the team’s active roster.
In the three games he played so far in the season-ending meet, Revilla averages 9.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 30.6 minutes of play.
