WILL Mahindra relegate playing-coach Manny Pacquiao back to its reserve list with the impending comeback of point guard LA Revilla?
The playmaker out of De La Salle is set to return to the Enforcer’s active roster when they play Blackwater this Sunday in hopes of getting back on the winning track in the PBA Governors Cup.
Revilla underwent surgery on his broken nose two weeks ago but has already been given the go-signal to play anew for the team. He will start practicing with the Enforcers on Thursday.
The injury suffered by Revilla paved the way for Mahindra to reactivate the 37-year-old Pacquiao from the reserve list. The boxing great suited up in the team’s 101-95 comeback win against Alaska.
“Babalik na ako sa Sunday,” said Revilla on Wednesday after watching on the bench as the Enforcers lost for the second straight time, 82-81.
A red mark is still visible on the operated nose of Revilla, who will be wearing a carbon fiber protective mask both in practice and actual games.
He also previously watched Mahindra’s last game, a 100-94 loss to Phoenix in a game where the Enforces lost grip of a 20-point lead.
Against the Road Warriors, Revilla admitted the Enforcers failed to capitalize on the missed second chances by their opponents.
