MERALCO rookie guard Kurt Reyson may be out for a while after suffering a suspected fracture in his right thumb.
The former Letran team captain had the injured hand in a cast following the injury which he sustained during the Bolts’ 128-116 loss to Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the PBA Philippine Cup almost two weeks ago.
READ: Fearless Meralco rookie Kurt Reyson the real deal?
Reyson already missed the defending champion’s outing against Northport Batang Pier Friday night at the Philsports Arena in a 105-104 come-from-behind win, and there’s no timetable yet on his possible return.
As a consequence, Meralco decided to relegate him in the injury/reserved list along with veteran big man Kyle Pascual and activated in their respective places are Jolo Mendoza and JP Maguliano.
The 6-foot-4 Maguliano was a third round pick by the Bolts (no. 35) in the last draft out of Emilio Aguinaldo College, where he was part of the Mythical First Team and All-Defensive Team in Season 99 of the NCAA.
Reyson, a three-time NCAA men’s champion with the Knights, initially dislocated his right thumb during the game against the Elasto Painters.

He has since been immobilized in a splint and is scheduled to see a hand specialist.
No other fracture or dislocation has been seen in his thumb.
