BARAKO Bull coach Koy Banal expects new acquisition Joseph Yeo to further speed up the Energy’s offense.

The Energy traded Sol Mercado for Yeo, the fourth Ginebra player acquired after James Forrester and Dylan Ababou three weeks ago and Billy Mamaril in a trade for Dave Marcelo.

“Siguro mas mabilis kami ngayon with Joseph, plus we have Chico (Lanete), then James and Dylan,” he said Koy Banal.

“Kailangan ko kasi ng scorer and we know Joseph is experienced, a legitimate scoring threat,” Banal told Spin.ph on Monday.

The former La Salle standout averaged 8.0 points, 2.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds during his 24-game stint with Ginebra this season.

Yeo, now in his ninth season as a pro, will be playing for his sixth PBA squad.

Banal also explained that he is easing Forrester into the system, looking to mold the former Arellano Chief guard into a reliable scorer off the bench.

“Sa ngayon kasi, James, hasn’t gotten into that (veteran) level pa since he hasn’t proven anything. But we will slowly break him in sa team,” said Banal.
