TNT couldn't get over the hump in its EASL Home and Away campaign, losing to Anyang Jung Kwan, 105-97, in Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday night.
Seongwon Choi topscored for the home team with 24 points and together with former NCAA Rookie-MVP Rhenz Abando, hit clutch baskets in the homestretch to turn back the Tropang Giga's comeback bid.
Monroe leads way
Import Daryl Monroe had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds for the reigning Korean Basketball League (KBL) champion, which improved its record to 2-0.
Monroe also had a late-game spat with TNT senior consultant Chot Reyes as the import was lurking behind the Tropang Giga huddle during a deadball situation.
TNT got huge numbers from the trio of Quincy Miller, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Calvin Oftana to offset the absence of main man Jayson Castro.
But their numbers were not enough as the Tropang Giga suffered their fourth straight loss. They are now on the verge of elimination in the group phase.

Miller finished with a game-high 35 points and nine rebounds including a three-pointer that moved TNT to within 102-95 with less than two minutes to go.
Hollis-Jefferson added 29 points and eight rebounds, while Oftana had 25 spiked by five three-pointers.
Idle Chiba Jets continue to pace Group A with a 3-0 record.
