KIEFER Ravena remained non-committal as far as applying for the PBA draft is concerned.
"Wala pa naman (plan mag-submit ng application)," said Ravena during Chooks to Go Pilipinas' send off at the Discovery Suites on Tuesday.
"October 12 ang last passing day, so we'll see, tingnan natin. Meron pang ganito to focus on, so hindi ko muna iniisip."
Ravena clarified he is merely weighing his options, not waiting for a particular team which will most likely pick him early in the first round.
It's a decision so big he wants to take his time mulling over it.
"Ayaw ko kasing isipin ng tao na nag-aantay ako kung sino ang makakapili sa akin, 'yun ang bagay na iniiwasan ko. Pero kasi ako, pinag-iisipan ko lang din talaga kung ano yung mga options na pwede kong gawin," he said.
"Of course, when you decide to play in the PBA, technically that's it, yun na yun. Yun na ang buhay mo all-around it. It's gonna be hard for other options and opportunities to come in."
Right now, he is focusing on leading the Chooks team in the Fiba Asia Champions Cup where he is one of the veterans in terms of international experience.
"If ever man maka-decide ako, whether kung andoon ako sa China or even after this. This tournament is for me to help Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas to win as many games as we can over in China," he said.
"This is the first, so I want to make the most out of it. This is another opportunity for me to get exposed internationally, with the way I play. So ako, 'yun lang ang goal ko, to really help this team and the coaching staff to win."
