NLEX will have a new import in Dequan Jones when it plays Rain or Shine in its next game in the PBA Governors Cup next week.
Jones already arrived in the country and is set to be measured at the PBA office on Thursday.
The 34-year-old product of University of Miami will replace Myke Henry, who will be relegated by the Road Warriors in the injured/reserved list.

The new import will be coming on board after the Road Warriors absorbed a 119-114 loss to San Miguel in a game where they led by as many as nine in the third quarter.
NLEX has now lost three in a row for a 3-4 record for a tie with Blackwater for fourth place in Group B.
Henry finished with 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists in the defeat.

Jones was recommended to NLEX by its former player Kiefer Ravena, as per SPIN.ph sources as the two played together with the Shiga Lakes in the Japan B.League.
Ravena recommending imports to the Road Warriors is nothing new.
The guard out of Ateneo was also the one who endorsed to the team Manny Harris during the 2019 Governors’ Cup. The Road Warriors finished as the top-seeded team entering the playoffs but were ambushed by Northport in the quarterfinals despite having a twice-to-beat advantage.
Jones was undrafted in the NBA in 2012, but managed to get signed by the Orlando Magic where he played for a season.
He later had stints in the G League where he was adjudged the Most Improved Player in 2018, the same year he ruled the league’s Slam Dunk contest.
The Stone Mountain, Georgia native also took his act to Italy, France, Japan, China, and Israel.
