SEVEN months after going down with a major injury, Kevin Ferrer is given a new security of tenure by Terrafirma.
The 30-year-old wingman was signed to a new contract by the Dyip management on Wednesday despite still rehabilitating from a torn Achiless tendon he suffered in June of last year.
Marvin Espiritu, who represents Ferrer through the EMBM (Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management), said the deal was only for one season.
Yet, it's a testament to the trust of management in the former University of Santo Tomas star, who went down with the injury playing for the Dyip during the PBA On Tour pre-season tournament.
The return of the eight-year veteran is expected to add experience and stability to a Terrafirma side that is loaded with young talent including No. 1 overall pick Stephen Holt, rookies Kemark Carino, Louie Sangalang, Taylor Miller, the rising Javi Gomez de Liano, and Isaac Go.
