ROOKIE Kevin Ferrer was brought to the hospital at halftime of the Barangay Ginebra-TnT Katropa PBA Governors Cup game following a bad fall at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Ferrer banged the left side of his face after he fell on the floor while trying to defend against TnT’s Roger Pogoy and Mo Tautua late in the second quarter. He laid on the court for a few minutes before being helped by his teammates on his way to the bench.

For a while, the Gilas cadet refused to be brought to the hospital as he tried to apply ice on his cheek, but was prevailed upon when his face began to swell.

Ginebra insiders said Ferrer was brought to Medical City.

He played six minutes and had three points and a single assist before leaving the court prior to the halftime break, which the Katropa led, 57-49.
