KEVIN Ferrer is excited with the prospects of playing for Barangay Ginebra in the PBA, saying he's ready to embrace the 'never-say-die' attitude passed on to him by college coach and former King Pido Jarencio.

Sources bared Ferrer was selected by the Gin Kings during the special draft for Gilas cadets held during a board meeting on Thursday, although he denied any direct knowledge of a move to the league's most popular ballclub.

But Ferrer said it will definitely be an honor to join Ginebra.

Excited ako," said Ferrer.

Ferrer said the 'never-say-die' attitude that Ginebra has become known for is no longer new to him, having been exposed to it during his time at University of Santo Tomas under Jarencio, who once played for Ginebra in the PBA.

'Wag kang hihinto, basta laro lang," said Ferrer.

The 6-foot-5 Ferrer is expected to be a nice fit in the pros with his versatility as he is capable of playing the small forward and even the guard positions in the PBA.
