IF Kevin Alas is playing inspired basketball nowadays, that’s because he indeed has an added inspiration.
The NLEX playmaker sustained his superb showing on Wednesday, putting up a new career-high of 24 points and completing a double-double with 10 rebounds along with five assists to conspire with Aaron Fuller in leading the Road Warriors to a 122-114 win over Rain or Shine in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
And Alas did it in the presence of his new girlfriend Selina Dagdag, who worked the game as TV5's courtside reporter.
Alas has been hinting on his Instagram stories of his relationship with the former Ateneo courtside reporter, before the two finally revealed they were a couple at the start of the Governors’ Cup.
Adjudged the Best Player of the Game, Alas sat on the sidelines for a customary TV interview with the night’s courtside reporter.
Alas answered Dagdag’s questions, including the last when the latter asked if he had anyone he wanted to greet, replying with God and his family, before the clincher.
“At gusto ko rin pala bumati kay Selina,” he said before giving his lovely lady a kiss on the right cheek and running back to the NLEX dugout.
