KENNETH Tuffin made sure he finished his sophomore season on a high note.
The Fil-New Zealand scored a career-high 29 points as Phoenix ended its season on a winning run, defeating Blackwater, 124-109, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Tuffin actually pulled off a double-double by also grabbing 14 rebounds in a fitting highlight to his second season with the Fuel Masters and a perfect sendoff before he bids goodbye to his bachelorhood.

The 28-year-old forward disclosed he’s getting married by October.
“I think some of the boys might go home. Me I’m going to stay here. I’m getting married in October. So I think I might have some time off,” said Tuffin after the Fuel Masters ended the season-ending conference with back-to-back wins for a 4-7 record.
“We’ll see what happens. Me, I’ll just stay here for now.”
Tuffin teamed up with Jason Perkins in a sizzling first quarter as the two had 12 and 11 points respectively, to tow Phoenix to an early 39-19 lead, just the separation the Fuel Masters needed to eventually help fend off repeated rallies by Blackwater.

Finally getting the job done, the sophomore player said he’ll take time off from basketball this off season.
“I’ll get some time away from the game. Different scenery maybe, and yeah, just come back ready to prepare whenever coach wants us to be back,” said Tuffin.
He’s actually one of two Phoenix players who’s getting hitched this year.
Coach Mike Jarin also announced that Sean Manganti will also get married by December.
“So you’re talking about the good things, the good times. These are ones, di ba,” stressed Jarin. “There are a lot of positives than the negatives. So we’re all blessed.”
