THE waiting game is about to end for Kemark Carino and Barangay Ginebra.
The lanky 6-foot-8 center disclosed he’s eyeing to finally play his first game with the Kings this week as he’s fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered in May of 2025.
Carino said he’s just awaiting clearance from renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. George Canlas for him to finally wear the Ginebra jersey in an official game.

Though he has yet to join full-contact practice, the big man out of San Beda said he’s long joined the Kings in their regular practice since being acquired in a trade with Terrafirma in exchange for fellow big Ben Adamos.
“Hindi pa ako allowed mag-contact pero sumasabay na rin naman ako sa kanila sa practice,” said Carino.
Ironically, his planned comeback in his first game with the Kings will be against the Dyip.
“Yun ang target namin sa Terrafirma,” said Carino.

The game is set on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
Carino was the second-round pick of Terrafirma in the 2023 draft at 13th overall and ended up making the All-Rookie Team and the All-Defensive Team right in his first season in the league.
But the sophomore jinx hit him the following season when he went down with an ACL injury.
