KELLY Nabong of San Miguel has been fined P30,000 for a dangerous foul on Chris Newsome of Meralco on Sunday in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Apart from the penalty, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial also gave the San Miguel bruiser a stern warning that similar incidents of dirty play will lead to a suspension.
Nabong was called for a flagrant foul penalty one after initiating a collission with a driving Newsome that sent the Meralco swingman crashing dangerously to the floor.
Nabong was eventually ejected from the game for a technical foul after a verbal altercation with Meralco center Raymond Almazan.
The Beermen lost, 125-99.
