MAGNOLIA doesn't see any problem with Keith Jensen’s decision to play in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) team CSL Indonesia Knights as a heritage import.

Jensen played for Ginebra, Barako Bull and GlobalPort in the PBA before he was traded to the Hotshots (then Star) alongside Jonathan Uyloan and Yousef Taha for Ronald Pascual in a 2016 trade.

The eighth pick overall in the 2012 PBA rookie draft never got to play a single game for the franchise before taking an indefinite leave in July 2016 to take care of 'family matters.'

After a long absence, he resurfaced as an import for the Indonesian club and showed that he hardly missed a beat as he finished with 18 points on 7-11 shooting to tow the Knights to an 82-72 win over the struggling Westports Malaysia Dragons in his debut.

Asked about Jensen's emergence, Magnolia managment said it is totally fine with Jensen’s move – so long as it’s not for a rival PBA team.

“Okay lang naman ang ABL. Pero pag sa PBA, any teams, hindi naman pwede kasi yung rights naman sa amin,” said Magnolia team manager Alvin Patrimonio.

Patrimonio also bared that they haven’t talked to the 6-4 Fil-American since he left but the franchise is willing to be patient with the former Ginebra draftee.

“Hindi pa naman (nagpaalam), pero okay lang naman 'yun. For sure, kailangan din siya ng team. Baka yung ABL is ang kailangan niya para mabalik ang form niya,” Patrimonio added.

At age 30, Jensen looked capable of mounting a PBA comeback thanks to his versatility on offense, and his length which allows him to defend both forward spots.

That’s why the Hotshots are keeping their options open should Jensen decide to come back in the country and return to the league.

“Pag ready na ulit siya sa PBA, then andito naman ang Magnolia Hotshots,” said Patrimonio.
