ASIDE from Bobby Ray Parks, a host of PBA imports are also seeing action in the Summer League as they make a bid for an NBA contract in the coming 2015-2016 season.

While some of the imports already have NBA experience, some, like Parks, are still trying to chase their dream of making it to the world’s premier basketball league after taking their act to the Philippines to play in the PBA.

Here is a list of the best and worst Summer League performers among them so far. We encourage our readers to add players in the list if we had missed someone.

Bar none, Famous has the best stats lines among the former PBA import in the NBA Summer League as the former South Florida standout is averaging 15. 7 points and 9.7 rebounds through three games with the Portland Trail Blazers in Las Vegas.

After finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Phoenix in his first outing, the former GlobalPort reinforcement played his best game in the Summer League after contributing 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals in a 94-74 loss to the NBA D-League Selection.

Famous came just one rebound short of another double-double against the Mavericks and Parks when he had 16 points and nine rebounds in 20 minutes of action on Wednesday.

Next to Famous, former Talk ‘N Text import Othyus Jeffers has the best numbers with averages of 10.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.3 steals in his stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Las Vegas.

Jeffers had 14 points, four rebounds, and two steals in the Timberwolves first match against the Lakers on July 10. Although he only had four points in his next game, Jeffers bounced back with a 13-point, eight-rebound, four-assist, three-steal effort against Utah on July 13.

Another former Talk ‘N Text import, Benson averaged 12.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and a team-best 2.4 blocks per game when he played for the Orlando Magic White squad in the Orlando Summer League.

A block against Charlotte Hornets’ Aaron Harrison landed Benson on YouTube but that wasn’t the only impressive game the 6-foot-11 import had in the Summer League, as he also had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks against Memphis on July 10.

The ex-Air21 import is looking to earn a spot with the reigning champions Golden State Warriors as a defensive lynchpin as he averages a team-best 3.0 steals in the Las Vegas Summer League, including a high of four swipes against Atlanta on July 12.

He is also averaging 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds.

The Meralco import in the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup could only register 2.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 1.0 steals in two games with the Atlanta Hawks.

Davis only saw action for an average of 14 minutes per outing, making him a longshot for a spot in the NBA roster.

In contrast to Famous, Johnson, an explosive scorer with Barangay Ginebra in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup, could only muster 4.7 points, 1.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 steals, in 17 minutes through three games with the Wizards.

OJ started at two-guard for the Wizards in the game against Parks and the Mavs and actually made the team's first basket. But he ended up scoreless the rest of the way.

That certainly shouldn't help his bid to return to the NBA after seeing action with the Indiana Pacers a few seasons back.

Orton, who was unceremoniously released by Purefoods Star during the 2015 Commissioner’s Cup for his negative comments against the PBA and Manny Pacquiao, posted unimpressive averages of 6.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 2.0 blocks for the Trail Blazers.

The former Barako Bull import had an impressive stint in the PBA Governors’ Cup, but failed to carry the form into his stint with the Los Angeles Clippers in the Orlando Summer League.

The seven-foot Canadian averaged 6.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks as a back-up center for the Clippers.

The former GlobalPort reinforcement is contributing 5.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game for the Sacramento Kings in the Las Vegas Summer League.
