JUSTIN Jackson had a fairly good debut in the PBA Commissioner's Cup after scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in Magnolia's loss to Alaska on Sunday.

But like Curtis Kelly before him, Jackson struggled from the free throw line, making only three of his 13 shots which played a part in their demise.

"I feel like I let the team down, shooting 3 for 13 from the free throw line, if I only made half of them I felt that we had a better chance of winning the game," said Jackson.

"Overall, it was a good team effort. We fought, we never game up. I was satisfied with the team effort. It was a good effort," he added.

Aside from his free throws, Jackson said that he still needs to get accustomed with the Filipino brand of play, from the players that he'll face up to the tendencies of the referees.

"Just more reading the game, on how the things go. How the refs are in the league. Just reading the game. You got to be quick on your feet and take the punches," he added.

It has been barely a week since he arrived in the country and Jackson is thankful that his team is making his adjustment easier.

With four games to go and the Hotshots in the middle of a hot playoff race, Jackson definitely needs to adjust quickly.

"It is a great group of guys, great teammates, great coaches. Easy for me," Jackson said.

"I would say, just how to get the Filipino way, you know? You understand how it is in this league. And I feel this game is an adjustment period for me, and I feel I'll be better next game," he added.

"It's amazing. The best team I have ever been on, by far. Only one week. I will never want to leave this team, ever."
