TNT Katropa is not rushing new acquisitions Justin Chua and Norbert Torres and has no timetable on when they will be utilized.
TnT scored a 112-107 win over NLEX, two days after Torres and Chua came on board as part of the Ranidel de Ocampo trade.
“We won’t rush them. Ang importante is they learn the things that we do on both ends,” said coach Nash Racela.
Chua showed up in a TnT uniform at the Ynares Center in Antipolo during the game against the Road Warriors, but didn’t play as the Texters scored their fifth win in eight outings.
He was placed in the active roster, taking the spot vacated by the 35-year-old de Ocampo, who ended up at Meralco.
Torres meanwhile, has been relegated to the injury/reserve list in place of wingman Kris Rosales, who has been dropped in the unrestricted free agent list with rights to salary.
“They both seemed to be very smart, so I don’t think that would mean hard for them to learn our system,” he said.
