MIKEY Williams’ performance in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals earned him an unlikely fan – Justin Brownlee’s son Jye.
Williams was magnificent in Game Six where he erupted for 38 points on 9-of-18 shooting from threes in TNT’s title-clinching 97-93 win over Barangay Ginebra.
One person who was definitely impressed was Brownlee’s son Jye, who is in Manila together with his brother Justin Jr. during this finals series.
Jye answered “Mikey” when asked playfully at the Araneta Coliseum hallway who he thought is the better player between the TNT guard and his dad.
Jye also asked for a selfie with not just with Williams but also with TNT's import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
