ANTIPOLO – Justin Brownlee got grounded on Friday due to a hamstring injury, but assured he expects to be ready for Barangay Ginebra's next series against Rain or Shine in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup semifinals.
Brownlee retreated to the dugout at the 7:45-mark of the third quarter of the second-seeded Gin Kings' 112-81 win over Phoenix Super LPG after he challenged an inside shot by Jason Perkins, and fouled him in the process.
The Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player didn't return to the game although he came back to the bench later after getting treatment.

“I just got a little tweak on that play driving to the rim. Hopefully, it ain't too bad but just felt a little something. Good thing we were up big. Got to give a lot of credit to the team. They closed out the third quarter and finished the game very well and extended the lead,” said Brownlee.
“I think I should be okay. Just a little tweak,” he added.
Brownlee though will take extra measures and will get more treatment on Saturday.
“I just felt it in the game. It's new. It's something I haven't dealt with. Just felt something in my hamstring. I feel okay now. No pain. Let's see,” said Brownlee.
Despite the injury, Brownlee remained in high spirits.
“Getting old,” Brownlee joked.
