JUNE Mar Fajardo again proved he's a force to reckon with in the PBA Philippine Cup after winning his sixth straight All-Filipino Best Player of the Conference award on Wednesday night.
The 29-year-old San Miguel Beer main man bested NorthPort's Sean Anthony, TnT Katropa's Roger Pogoy. and Batang Pier Mo Tautua for the conference's highest honor.
In all, it was Fajardo's eighth BPC trophy, extending his own record as the player with the most number of conference awards.
And the 6-foot-11 five-time MVP did it in style.
He was the runaway winner of the award with a total of 1,165 points as he topped the statistical points (460), media votes (484), players votes (71), and the votes of the PBA office (150).
Anthony, always in contention for the BPC race but was never a winner, placed second with 641 and garnering second in statistical points (412) and the media votes (225).
Pogoy placed third with a 522 total in his strongest showing yet for the award.
Stanley Pringle finished at fourth with 473 and finished with a better statistical points over Pogoy (387). He also placed second among the players votes with 38 and received 25 votes from the PBA.
Tautuaa brought up the rear with 380 points.
