JUNE Mar Fajardo, as expected, was named Best Player of the PBA Philippine Cup for a record third straight time.
The San Miguel Beer superstar was so dominant that he didn’t have to play in the Finals against Alaska to tally enough statistical points and votes from the media, players, and the league to still win in runaway fashion.
The injured Fajardo, who won a fourth overall BPC award, amassed 1407 statistical points, way ahead of closest pursuer and Ginebra rival big man Greg Slaughter, who registered 803 points.
NLEX duo Asi Taulava and Sean Anthony finished third and fourth, respectively, with 496 and 473 points.
Resurgent Barako Bull star Willie Wilson rounded out the Top Five after putting up 449 points.
