JUNE Mar Fajardo would have none of the Nikola Jokic comps, as he's more than happy just registering his first-ever career triple-double.
The nine-time MVP achieved the special feat in San Miguel's 158-117 drubbing of Titan Ultra in the PBA Philippine Cup Wednesday night at Ynares Center in Montalban.

Fajardo, 35, dropped 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the blowout win that netted the defending champions a fifth straight victory from an 0-2 start to the season.
"Masaya siyempre kasi first triple-double ko ito. Kaya salamat sa mga teammates ko," said an ecstatic Fajardo, thrilled like a kid who received an early Christmas gift.

But he was quick to downplay the Jokic comparison, stressing he's far-off from the three-time NBA MVP of the Denver Nuggets, who churns out triple-double numbers on a consistent basis.
"Hindi, a," he said in his baritone voice. "Pero siyempre masaya dahil nakuha namin yung panalo. Yun naman ang importante dun. Bonus na lang yung triple-double "
The Beermen coaching staff was made aware Fajardo was nearing the landmark that head mentor Leo Austria let him stay a few more minutes inside the court.
He eventually achieved the special feat after assisting on a three-pointer by Andreas Cahilig at the 2:20 mark of the third quarter for a 112-74 lead.
He was finally taken out of the game after that and never returned.
