BINAN, LAGUNA - June Mar Fajardo likes what he saw from comebacking import Elijah Millsap which he hopes would translate into a PBA championship this time for San Miguel.
The San Miguel big man said Millsap hasn't lost a step as gleaned from the way he played against Blackwater in their PBA Governors Cup encounter on Sunday night at the Alonte Sports Center.
Millsap came away with a game-high 25 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists in the reigning champion's 107-101 win that enabled the team to lock down the No. 2 seeding heading to the playoffs.
Fajardo was glad to see Millsap producing the same kind of numbers he did the first time he played for the team in 2013 when San Miguel reached the finals of this same season-ending conference.
"Kundisyob siya ngayon," said Fajardo of Millsap, who made his first tour of duty with the Beermen during the two-time MVP's rookie year. "Sana yung leadership nya at experience sa NBA ay madala niya ulit sa team."
