JUNE Mar Fajardo admits he has yet to hit top form and instead of trying to find his shots right away, he plans to be a facilitator in whatever playing time he is given in his return to action on Saturday.
San Miguel Beer faces Rain or Shine in the PBA Governors Cup at Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna, with the four-time MVP to play limited minutes, according to coach Leo Austria.
Out two months due to a stress fracture in his right foot, was in uniform but did not play when San Miguel took on NorthPort on Wednesday.
Fajardo said he has been keeping himself in shape despite the injury through aqua training and biking an was set to join full court practice on Thursday.
Takbo, totally wala,” said Fajardo.
Fajardo expects to be rusty, but is not rushing his things.
“’Yun lang ang iniisip ko,” said Fajardo, referring to his mindset of just taking things slow as he fully recovers from the injury. “Sobrang tagal ako hindi nakatakbo. Two months din. Makukuha ko rin ‘yun. Focus ako sa pagpapagaling.”
“Iniisip ko na nakakapanibago. Medyo rusty siguro.
