JUAN Gomez de Liaño put on another strong showing in the preseason to lead Converge to a 96-77 tune-up game win over Blackwater on Saturday morning at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.
Gomez de Liaño scored 20 points in the victory for the FiberXers, their second in the preseason after also beating Meralco, 109-103, last Thursday.

Juan GDL, the second pick in this year's draft, also got the win against Dalph Panopio, the third selection, who played his first tune-up game in preparation for the PBA 50th Season.

Panopio and Co. fell behind at the half, 43-33, in their initial preseason game, and the Bossing were outscored, 30-18, in the third.
Blackwater also missed the services of Sedrick Barefield, who is recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained during the Kadayawan pocket tournament in Davao a few weeks ago.
