IT was a shot Juami Tiongson thought was just a game-tying basket, but proved to be the game winner for Terrafirma.
The veteran guard admitted getting the surprise of his life when his three-pointer gave the Dyip a 92-91 lead with 12 seconds to go and completed their comeback from 19 points down against Blackwater Saturday in the PBA Philippine Cup.

"Akala ko talaga down three kami that's why I was going for the three-point shot. So when I made the shot, I celebrated a bit," he said after the win.
But a bigger celebration was being done by his teammates
"My teammates were running towards me and I was thinking, 'Overtime pa tayo a. Bakit kayo nagse-celebrate,'" he added. "But nagulat ako na panalo pala kami."

Tiongson finished with 20 points as the Dyip hiked their record to 3-2 after coming back from a 59-40 deficit in the third quarter.
The Dyip later preserved the win after denying RK Ilagan a potential game-winning trey in Blackwater's final play.
Coach Johnedel Cardel said he had no one in mind to take the last shot for Terrafirma other than Tiongson or rookie Stephen Holt.
"We had a ball screen for Juami Tiongson. Akala niya three points (ang lamang), so he took the shot. E, pumasok," said Cardel.
"So sabi ko good shot."
