ANTIPOLO – Juami Tiongson admitted being deeply affected by his rare scoreless stint with Terrafirma so much that he didn’t had a good night sleep in the heels of the team’s 116-92 loss to defending PBA Governors Cup champion TNT.
He went home frustrated to say the least.
“Sobrang bad trip ko sa sarili ko na hindi nga ako actually nakatulog that night kasi iniisip ko kung ano yung mali ko,” said the 35-year-old guard, who was 0-of-5 from the field against the Tropang 5G.

Tiongson was quick to atone for that pathetic showing when he dropped 30 points against guest team Macau on Saturday at the Ynares Center here.
The output was Tiongson’s season-best, equaled his career third best, and marked the fifth time he scored 30-plus points in his career.
He topped it off by going 7-of-10 from three-point zone and issued seven assists in the Dyip’s fourth win in 10 outings.
Tiongson said he took the scoreless stint as a challenge.
“Ang tagal ko na sa liga and can’t happen zero points ako especially naghahabol kami to make the playoffs,” he stressed.
But the playmaker out of Ateneo gave credit to where credit is due.
“Actually ang ganda ng preparation ng TNT sa akin. Not just on me but for the entire team,” Tiongson pointed out.
“Every time na wala sa akin yung bola, hindi sila naghe-help. Tapos every time na may bola (ako), may naka-abang or double team agad. So I gave credit to them that sobrang prepared sila coming to the game.”
