TWO weeks is more than enough time for TNT KaTropa to finally field a replacement import in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The Texters played without a reinforcement in their 120-101 win against Blackwater on Friday night as they scrambled to find a replacement for Jeremy Tyler, who played his last game last Sunday against Alaska in Antipolo.
But TNT manager Virgil Villavicencio bared they are just waiting for the arrival of Joshua Smith, the burly import wholed the Texters to the finals in the last edition of the midseason tournament.
The 6-foot-9 Smith is set to arrive on Friday, May 25, ahead of the KaTropa's next game on June 1 against Columbian Dyip at Mall of Asia Arena.
Villavicencio said Smith wrapped up his stint in Japan last Tuesday, but he still had to attend an outreach activity with the team that runs until the 24th.
