JOSHUA Munzon is going to be a major part of Northport moving forward.
The former top overall pick just renewed his contract with the Batang Pier that is good for more two years.
Coach Bonnie Tan said Munzon signed the deal before leaving for the US this offseason.
Munzon averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists during the entire season as one of the primary offensive options of the Batang Pier outside of Arvin Tolentino.
In the season-ending Philippine Cup, the 29-year-old Fil-Am submitted numbers of 11.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and a league-leading 2.7 steals. Unfortunately, Northport lost to Terrafirma in the playoff for the last quarterfinals berth.
