JOSHUA Munzon has joined Terrafirma practice in Batangas weeks after his stint with the national team in the Fiba 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Braz, Austria.
Photos sent by the PBA to media outlets on Thursday showed Munzon at the Batangas State University Gym as the Dyip continue their build-up for the 2021 season.
Assistant team manager Iby Bautista confirmed that Munzon started participating in the face-to-face scrimmages on Wednesday, although he has been involved in the online workouts prior.
The team is also doing individual workouts outside the Batangas practices.
Munzon wasn’t able to join Terrafirma during the resumption of full practices and scrimmages in May as he was in the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba preparing for the FIBA 3x3 OQT.
The No. 1 overall pick in the Season 46 draft, Munzon is expected to show the way forthe Dyip following the departure of CJ Perez via a trade with San Miguel.
The Cal State LA product is joined by former top pick Roosevelt Adams, Rashawn McCarthy, fellow rookie James Laput, and newly-acquired players Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, Russel Escoto, and Gelo Alolino.
